"Probably one of the most beautiful designs of her size anywhere. This is one of naval architect Carl Alberg's masterpieces. Her lines are superb and this is one of the reasons she has become so popular with over 285 now sailing. This 23 foot sloop is available in two models: 1. A two berth day sailer which may be equipped with a galley and head if desired. This model has an eight-foot cockpit for large day sailing parties. 2. The four berth model was designed with cruising and racing in mind and contains a galley and head with berths for four in a very warm and cozy cabin. Her cockpit is 6 1/2 get long. Both models have self-bailing cockpits and out-board wells. All hardware, spears, standing and running rigging are of the highest quality. Both of these models are available as kits."

This boat, the "True Blue" is the Standard Four Berth Sloop Deluxe model and was built in 1966. She is lively under sail and has everything you will need to sail away. This boat is in the water in Georgetown, MD and has been sailed regularly through last year.

She has four berths with recently upholstered cushions, a small galley with sink and ice-box, and a head that's accessible via a trap-door in the v-berth. There is a small navigation station with a chart table. There is ample storage both under the cockpit (accessible via cockpit hatch and by way of the cabin) and under seating storage areas in the saloon and v-birth. There are also two cabinets and a shelf for storage.

There is no motor.
There is no electric system.
(There is a panel and some wiring, but the boat has not had electric for at least 12 years.)
There are no running lights --emphasis on day sailor-- or use battery operated lights.
The drawer and ice box lid are missing.
There is no sail bag for the mainsail.

GENERAL CONDITION:
This boat was made in 1966 (before they understood fiberglass tolerances) so it is thick and is pretty much indestructible. It has not been out of the water in years and has not had the bottom painted or gel coated in years. The topside was painted four years ago and the teak has been maintained. One of the interior shelves has a weak spot and one of the interior cabin walls has a weak spot. All of the deck hardware and portholes could use to be remounted. She could use a new coat of paint top and bottom - but there is no weakness in the hull or on the deck or on the top of the cockpit - she seems solid where it counts.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
This boat will be given away - but we will need a bill of sale in the amount of $1 to transfer it to the new owner. You agree to remove the boat promptly or pay the storage fee directly to marina. Buyer will pay all transfer and license fees to title the boat in their name (should be under $100).

WHY IS THIS FREE
Why not? We got a great deal on this boat almost ten years ago and it got us back into sailing. We just bought new boat and thought we'd pass it along and we can't keep two boats!
