It had one owner from the time it was built in 1966 to the time it was donated to BoatAngels.
Hull below waterline is solid and there are no leaks;
there is one soft spot on the deck.
I purchased and installed mast step plate, manual bilge pump, and turnbuckles.
Sails are original and in poor condition except spinnaker, which I did not use but it appears to be newer then other sails.
Main sail ripped during my first outing and I bought new one from mastheadsailinggear for $400+ and customized it with Kestrel markings and hull number as they were on original sail.
Few things which are broken/need attention:
1) companionway sliding hatch is missing and the teak rails that guide the hatch are in poor shape
2) in order to fit new outboard I had to cut the deck behind the engine well. It needs to be reinforced with wood/fiberglass.
3) need new paint, which I already purchased and it is included with the boat.
