Sailmaster 22 sailboat (Deale MD)

Sailmaster 22 sailboat

Sailmaster 22 sailboat

I bought this sailboat at the beginning of the year

with grand ambitions of fixing her up, but have since lost interest and would like to pass her on.

Built in 1967 and designed by Sparkman & Stephens.

She has:
-a tabernacle mast step for easy lowering
-beautiful sitka spruce boom
-teak cockpit seats
-barient winches and other original hardware
-solid hull
-clean MD title
-most importantly *** if you agree to take her, I will throw in 3 immaculate sails that were made for the boat.

A main, a hank on jib and a larger hank on genoa.

I am unsure of their age, but when I got the boat they were in decent workable condition.

I sent them to sail care in PA (http://www.sailcare.com/)

and using their crazy process, they restored the sails like new.

Cost for the sail cleaning and restoration was $832.

These come with the boat, totally free.

She needs:
-parts of decks recored. I cut into the soft spots of the decks,

new plywood needs to be glassed in and re-surfaced.
-hull should be stripped and re-painted
-new centerboard
-new running rigging

Here is more information about the sailboat:

She is on the hard in a do-it-yourself marina in Deale, MD

where the monthly storage fee is a reasonable $125.

You can keep her there while you work on her or you can arrange to move her elsewhere.

Boat does not have a trailer.

To be very clear: this is a project boat! It is not in sailing condition,

but if you are handy, she could be beautiful once again.
